How it works

Four steps, one agreement.

STEP 01

Post a project

Scope, deliverables, due dates and pay. Fifteen minutes, and it is on the board.

The post a project form: startup, title, scope and skills
STEP 02

Meet the applicants

Each proposal comes with a campus profile: skills, the hours they can give, and the work they have finished.

STEP 03

Sign once

You make an offer on the posted terms. Both of you countersign one standard agreement on the platform.

STEP 04

Approve milestones

Each deliverable is approved on its own. Cash releases as you approve. Equity vests the same way.

An engagement with three approved milestones and the cash held for it
Compensation

Pay how you can.

Funded up front

Cash

Fund the project up front. The provider holds it and releases each milestone as you approve it. You cover the processing fee; the student receives the full amount.

Vests per milestone

Equity

Restricted stock at a price you set, vesting per milestone. Unfinished work vests nothing.

Faculty sponsored

Course credit

If a faculty member chooses to sponsor the project, the student works for credit and no payment. You never combine the two.

Unfinished work vests nothing.

Equity is a share of the company, set per project as a percentage. It is split across the deliverables, and each deliverable vests when you approve it.

Someone who leaves in week three keeps only what they finished.

Keep what you build.

The agreement assigns the work to your company. Ordinary work a student does on their own time and equipment is theirs to assign.

Work that would use university labs, equipment or funding is confirmed under the university's policy before anyone signs.

Common questions.

What does it cost?

Nothing to post. On cash projects you cover the payment processing fee.

Do you take equity?

No. Never.

Who can post?

Founders with a campus email, faculty running their own ventures, and businesses the university designates.

Can I hire from another campus?

Not today. Each campus runs on its own instance.
